Choose one activity
A first session can be the three-card pairing prompt, the face-up browser exercise, or a small paper round. You do not need to do all three. State the matching rule and ending before dealing.
Prepare a comfortable table
Keep a clear area for hands and a separate place for removed pairs. Use a steady surface and enough light to recognise pictures and words. Let a person who finds a fanned hand difficult spread their cards during the teaching stage.
Share the explanation
Ask one player to show a pair and another to show the offer-and-draw step. The guided demo can be paused or stepped backward, so the group can inspect a handoff without a running clock.
Finish gently
Invite players to stop when they have had enough. Mark the unmatched-card ending as a game result, not a personal label. An enjoyable session need not have a winner’s prize or a running family ranking.
